Fishwrecked 5th birthday Competition
Hi Crew,
Well in June Fishwrecked.com has its 5th birthday, yep, the years have certainly flown by!! I will do some stories up during the month for any of the new comers to get some of the history of WA's biggest and best fishing site along with some thankyou's to long term members and site supporters/sponsors.
Anyway, to celebrate the 5th birthday, I am going to run a competition, the details are:
A photo competition for the best display of the fishwrecked.com logo (any of the gear/stickers/hats/shirts/stubs etc) be it fishing, be it out and about, be it over seas, be it something crazy, whatever goes.... (as long as its legal) The photo you submit will then go into a vote (like the photo of the month comp) and the most popular as determined by you guys will win:
$100 cash (fishwrecked) and the choice of a XT100litre Blue OR a XTWC 85litre box. Both are valued at $230.00 - Kindly donated by Dave Allen at Xtreme Coolers - E-mail: [email protected]
There may be more prizes to come for this as well.
All entries will close on midnight July 31st 2010 so for any of you that don't have the gear, there's plenty of time to get some and for all of you that do already, start thinking up some ideas on whats going to win you a coupla hundred bucks worth of gear/cash. ;)
Cheers,
Adam

Sounds like a good excuse for a party I reakon, I am sure a barbie could be organised somewhere although you can keep all the lolly bags and fairy bread as I dont have a sweet tooth. I will stick to turkey :P
Might have to do a stockup on a few prawns for a BBQ if we end up having one. Will mean I will have to go diving more - oh how will i cope

Putting in the hours underwater atm, I have serious envy. My tank dived its last dive the other week as I have been told they wont refill it anymore:/
Being a student this semester is likely to put a dampner on buying another one for at least a couple of months.
I still would like to do a freedive around our prawning grounds when the current isnt ripping through. I saw a few ripper prawns, but didnt have a dab net with me.

Well not exactly my middle name, but more like what I do every day... except on a slightly larger scale... Lol. Organising a BBQ is a piece of steak... Who wants in on the party committee?

Sunday 25 July?
If everyone is serious about getting together, then what is everyone's thoughts on Sunday 25 July?
Also if anyone has any suggestions of a location that would work for a big group of people then shout out. Somewhere pretty with BBQ's and a few tables... shelter would be even better.
Cheers

As for a venue - any of the parks near the beach would work, most have BBQ's. Or if someone had access to a fishing club we might be able to work something out with that?

Yanchep National Park
Yanchep National Park has a large undercover bbq area that I could check out about booking so we could secure it for the event if interested. Toilets, PUB and shop near by. Also lake and ducks to keep the kids occupied. Oh did I mention PUB......

Matilda Bay
I think Maltilda Bay would be most central if everyone wanted to go ahead with it. Also a few bream at the yacht club... ;)
Apart from that, only 2 entries so far, pretty easy to pick up a couple of hundred dollars!!
