Dogtooth Tuna, Fiji
I recently posted the video '50kg Dogtooth Tuna on Popper' well that was just one fish from our trip to the Yasawa Islands off the NW of Fiji.
Missing at Sea has partnered up with Nanuya Island Resort over there and has a custom 26" CC with a 300 on the back, lodging and fishing craft are spot on.
As usual I filmed as much as I could with a rod in my hand(and sometimes even put the rod down!).
The first episode covers jigging for Dogtooth Tuna in some absolutely pristine conditions before throwing some big topwater lures and meeting the owner of the resort for some sashimi.
This is the longest fishing movie I've made so far, grab a beer, hit the Youtube link, let it load up in 1080P and enjoy.
Let me know what you think below,
Cheers

Absolutely a trip to
Absolutely a trip to remember. Weather was 50/50, first half of the trip was a glass off and the by the end it was blowing 30 knots, luckily with 6 days on the water my seasickess didn't rear its head.

Nice part of the world.
Had the pleasure of spending two weeks out in the Yasawa chain two years ago , got to dive with some stupidly big Tiger sharks at Bequa . If anyone gets a chance to hit up Fiji it’s well worth it .Good to see your boat ride was a little more civilised than the Yasawa flyer..... Did you do a Kava ceremony? ,on that note BULA !
My wife understands why I clean my rods n reels in the shower....

Bula!
Haha we never actually went on the flyer, we took the seaplane back which was absolutely amazing I would recommend everyone to do that. We did do a Kava ceremony, strange stuff, certainly slept well!
Yep plenty to explore on the Yasawas, love to go back.
