Diving HMAS Swan

I'm heading down to Busselton for christmas 26th / 31st with the missus and kids and would like to do a dive

on the Swan, is there a dive charter company anyone could recommend or are there any locals that would like to the the dive

I'm more than happy to pay for the fuel ect

I would be intersted in any other diving that could be recommended

Cheers

Andrew

i di it a few years back , great dive ,i think there are two charter companies in town that take you out for 2 x dives on the wreck , best done with a advanced ticket if you want to go along the bottom of the hull

Great dive to explore, last bloke i spoke to that dived it didn see a white but had 30m vis, a visit from a humpback... and a penguin... dunno how narced he was for that though.

Go with Cape Dive from

Go with Cape Dive from Dunsborough. Gav will look after you.

Can dive it from your own boat but need to get a day pass.

The busso jetty used to be another great dive. Better than the swan IMO. Don't know what its like after the jetty reno.

Has anyone dived it lately? Is there any coral left?

I think you may be required

Thu, 2011-11-17 09:56

I think you may be required to leave someone on the boat as well? Also, I think the moorings only allow for 2 hrs or something similar, so that means if you have three on the boat and want to do a rotation double dive you wont get a lot of time unless you have practically no surface interval....

Dont know how policed that is though?

Ahh it's always empty Matt,

Ahh it's always empty Matt, you would have to be hard pressed for this to be an issue however with the weather warming traffic will increase but the latest Whitey will keep punters at bay I would think.

Cheers for the info I will give them a call, not to fussed about the price would just like a good

day out there and hopefully the weather and vis will be good, I have waited a few years to do this dive and

to be honest it is part of the reason for the trip down.
