Dinghy is back

Finally got my dinghy back today, had a floor put in, that's aluminium and carpeted, they so put a consul that I wanted, my Sounder and my electronics will be a part of that. The battery is built inside of the consul. Didn't need a large battery so gone with a small one that would normally be in a wheelchair or something similar. This can be recharged by the motor, I finished that part of that today. A couple of rod holders built into the rear quarters as well which was all done by Cameron at Flash Rat Boat Modifications, that part of what he does on the side. Really good price and a great job to boot, he has plenty of ideas if your building a dinghy and anything else made from aluminium, you'll find him here.

Yeah, it's 1.7 at its widest, that's at the back and 4.1m long, got good high sides as well. Bought from Hezzy on here down in Bunbury, saddest part is I haven't floated it yet. Work and weather got in the way plus it was away getting the floor etc.

Come up well, floor looks good & good idea for electronics battery. I'm thinking of ripping my ply floor out and replacing with Ali and carpet.

ready to Rock and Roll

Tue, 2016-10-11 17:33

Added another pic, all the electrics are done, when the lights etc come along its just plug it in and flick the switch, but all the important stuff is done. Motor is charging the battery, sounder has been set up, putting in the water tomorrow for a shake down. Taking a rod just in case. Woo hoo.
