Deep jig session on the snapper
Submitted by JohnF on Fri, 2017-09-15 21:51
Had a cracking jigging session on the snapper this arvo out wide with Bodie and Ross. Conditions were brilliant, we used 120 g jigs and PE 1.5 and PE2 in deep water.
It was Ross's first try of jigs, he got a nice red snapper on jig plus several small sambos, he is hooked!
Was a great arvo, it does not get much better in Metro and nice to give the light jigs a good workout.

What a tray of fillets there
When you see an end result like that after a perfect day on the water, it just can't get much better than that.
Just how deep were you using the jigs in. Most of the snapper posted up on site have been coming from reasonably shallow water.

Looks like Rosco is starting to become a fisherman
Got the shirt, caught something on jig, and loves a late night squid session! Hahaha
well done gents, looks like great conditions. That's the sort of weather we need for a mid west trip :-)
