Harro, hooked up a nice solid
blue eye yesterday on a 400gm jig using a jigstar 250gm pe 2-5 and a jigging master pe6 reel with pe 5 line, dropped the fish 1/2 way up. The rod still had lots left. Would love to fish lighter but you need the heavier jigs to get down most days. Was fun while I was hooked up tho
got 2 nice puka, a blue eye, came in to the 40's and picked up a nice dhuie and 2 massive sambos on pe 2

Looks like hard work even with the electric reels, the results would make it worth the effort. Thanks for sharing the footage .

Hard work
Harro was just sitting down and waiting for the fish to die and float to the top.

Deep drop rods
The Saltiga deep drop rods are designed primarily for use in the rod holders rather than being held in the arms. Due to the long bent butts this makes them rather cumbersome when fished out of the rod holders. Imo short bent butts are much better suited unless you are fishing from the rod holders. As Colt Striker has mentioned a black magic harness will improve the fishability and with a short bent butt even better.

Yes i have tried one, think ill just order a new butt for the saltiga, or look for a strong deep jig rod maybe for some fun,

If anyone is looking for a deckie for DD in the metro im up for it and will have a outfit very soon!
I dont really get the vid as Harro is the only one doing a few winds - do you use the electric to bring the fish up??
