Cray alert

Just got back from a dive inside .seen a good show of crays ,would have bee 50crays along one ledge,big blue grouper 20kg ,2 small dhuies,a large school of snapper some 8kg and upward.and the usual shit fish .Did see a black ass with a hook and leader with a swivel at the end under a leadge.didn't seem to bothered by it hanging there.come on cray season.the only problem is were do we go first .

Was heading down for some abs
and a bit of a snorkle to see what depth i could get to and ended up doing cpr on a ab popper instead.I will head back down on sunday and try again.The gear is all out and serviced i just need to set up a weight belt to suit the new semi dry and i am away i hope.Will let you know when i am sorted.How is the new tub going?Got a name yet?Was thinking maybe Hayl Damaged.

Still got a couple of shallow spots
they blew the crap out of a couple of my good ones but replaced them with a bigger one

interesting... were these
interesting... were these whites or reds? i don't really know too much about the cray run - though I thought they would appear on the back of the three mile first? eg, as they migrate from the deeper water...?

The whites will start on the beach 20m ofshore if conditions are good and over three weeks move out to the back edge,The crays we seen were reds.

Interesting if it will be like last season. Crays everywhere in close at the start of the season then they head out wide and dribs and drabs after that...
