Not fishing related.
Going for a week Bali trip in March and havent been in 20 years when was surfing days and Sari club nights. Looking for a great chillout place with missus thats not too far from good food (not there to party) at around 200-250 a night (or maybe more depending as its been the only o/s holiday in ages)
Any suggestions?
Cheers
Adam

Hotel or villa
The Desamuda villas in Seminyak are really good stayed there half a dozen times nice and quiet and close to most things
What dates you there Adam ? Me and the wife are also going for a week at the end of March without the kids for a chill out and to stock up on cheap jigs before we head back to ningaloo , ha !
The next time i see that jig will be in the mouth of something big !!

Mate we have stayed in Sanur
Mate we have stayed in Sanur the last 4 trips, very chilled and lots of beachside restaurants. We stay at a place called Kembali Lagi, a small 7 room villa type set up which surrounds a pool. The staff are amazing and it's owned by a lovely retired American couple.Couldn't rate it highly enough.
Love the West!

Get out of Bali
And go to one of the nearby islands. Nusa Lembongan, Nusa Penida, Gilli Air or Gilli Meno (Avoid gilli T).
Bali is an overcrowded, polluted, chaotic mess these days.
My tip would be Nusa Penida. Went there for the first time last month and was amazed at how many incredible natural attractions there are. Rent a scooter and you have literally a whole weeks worth of spectacular coastline to explore (type it into google images and have a look at some of places).
Plus its manta ray and mola mola season there right now. A lot of new accommodation being built and enough decent restaurants opening up there to keep you happy. 45 mins fast boat from Sanur with either mola mola or Idola cruises. Easy as.

Lombok.
Give Lombok a go Adam, nice n quiet & a great island to explore.
The gillie Islands are only a drive away & well worth a visit.
I agree with MT, avoid Gilli T, full of tourists on tours.
We stayed at the Sheraton on Sengigi Beach. Great hotel with different levels of accomodation.
The best brekky we have had & the service is what you would expect from a Sheraton.
Great little places to eat just outside the hotel on the beach.
Good luck & enjoy your holiday.
Cheers & Stay safe

Pullman in Legian - perfect
Pullman in Legian - perfect distance away from the noise but can walk to the hustle and bustle if you want to. Rooftop pool looking out over the beach. Have a look at it online, wont disappoint. Going back for our 4th stay there in few weeks.

Dewi Sri
Have a look ay Dewi Sri in Kuta. Close to Poppies but up a lane near the monument, secluded, aussie owned, peaceful but near everything. Just a 2 dollar taxi to the beach.
