Doing a trip to Zimbabwe a bit down the track, going to spend a bit of time at Kariba and hoping to get into some tiger fish maybe even enter in the tournament they have there. Anyone been in the area who can reccomend a good fishing guide?
Cheers :-)

Kariba dams the zambezi
Kariba dams the zambezi river. If your housboat trip is at the same time as the tiger tournament, try get as far down the lake as you can as the tigers will obviously be heavily targeted (unless you enter the tourny in a team).
The housboat captains are usually your first bet to get tips on how to catch tiger. They have been doing it for many years.

kariba
kariba is awesome, got a nice tiger on a spinner, the local we fished with dumped about 40kg of chook pellets at a river mouth running into the lake. went and fished it everyday using worms,,cleaned up on big tasty bream.
my dad even caught a chinook salmon in there.
Anywhere anytime

hey kane
You must take pics of kariba and post them up! I miss that place, I now my dad used to go to Sanyati Gorge , certain part of the Lake, he caught a large Chessa in that area, the captain of the house boat will deff now where it is, he actually might be able to tell you where
the big tigers are. Normally where there is chessa and or bream (normally hippos congregate near by) there is tiger fish not far off.
Cheers

Hey Kane,
I am looking at the below for next May, the company are Australian based as well so always feels a little more reputable dealing with someone on home soil.
