 i have heard that they are alright eating but not the best i ended up filleting this one for bait didnt eat it

 I've smoked a few whole for friends ! They 

thought it was great eating cold next day with 

some biscuits and seasoning !! 

Picked up mine trolling little rmgs inside 

the first reef mindaire..

 Snook are oily and hence great for bait or smoking (don't dry out as much in the smoker)

Not bad fresh either but do not freeze well hence the bad rap
