Fished down south for the weekend, got plenty harpuka, Nannys, couple trevella and a few bass. This big boy being the highlight of the weekend.

Now that is one hell of a fish
What a size it is a fillet of that would be like a side of beef.
What do they taste like when they get up to sizes like that.

we had to manually wind it

Daiwa tanacom 1000, it was
Daiwa tanacom 1000, it was actually a double header of the 52kg bass and another at 48kg so was a fair bit of load for it haha.

found a leadge in about 400m
found a leadge in about 400m with plenty of bait fish on it so drop the line over an had a bite before we even hit the bottom.
