My PB snapper today on a Sol 2500 :)

Got my PB snapper today on a Sol 2500 and matching rod. It went 82cm and about 5.4kg. Went like a train on light gear... awesome fun. Ended up getting 16 (13 released) in 8 hours with most around the 3.5kg mark. I can happily say that this one was released succesfully!! :)

They Snapper only really run
They Snapper only really run in Victoria for about 3 months on the year. With right now being the peak of the season. They come into the bay to spawn and then go on there merry way. In the other months of the year they are pretty hard to come by. The last few seasons have been unbelievable as the goverment has restricted the netting, increased min size and decreased the bag limits. Still some people take advantage of it though, there are guys that will fish four days a week for three months and take home there bag every day... there is NO way someone can use all that fish. I can understand how bans need to be put on these fish.. they just get smashed.

Agreed
Coming from WA LBF, I was fishing @ St Leonards last weekend and was catching legal size fish and returning them, but was told I should of kept it...hmmm.
My school of thought was there heaps out there and I am bound to land something allot bigger than just legal, which it did happen, even though I could of brought home my limit in just legal size...but it was not as satisfying as seeing something of larger size.
