New fishing Video - Wahoo on Fly - Almost

I jumped in to get some shark footage today out from Tantabiddi when Mr Wahoo decided to come and suss me and the commotion out. Azza had his fly rod ready to go and I called out to him where the fish was, on his second cast he put it in the spot. As he got the strike it rocketed off into the distance not to be seen again. I managed to watch it all but didn't fully capture it on film, but you get the idea. You can also see the speed of the fish as he took the fly, awesome. Just after that a 100lb+ GT came and hit the side of the boat chasing a fish off the bottom, one crazy visual day along with the sailfish first up. I had to compress the video down a lot so the quality's not the best, apologies. :) Also note, thats not the fly rod in the picture below, thats on the shark.

I do have a similar recent film I shot of a herring chasing a wog with a blowie circling underneath me. That's the best I can do at Hillarys - it doesn't quite measure up to Exmouth.

Seriously though, you are pretty keen diving in with an angry shark.
Got to love the Wahoo. What a magnificent looking fish.

It was in a pretty sharky spot, dont worry, a lot of the rest of the footage is me looking around furiously. Got the crap scared out of me when a school of 10kg shark mackerel came through, got a little bit of footage but none worthy of the site.

Yes, If I had the gun he was a goner, well, maybe me too judging by how fast he took off into the distance with the fly line. Was unreal to see. If only I had of been paying attention to the footage in stead of watching it in awe, would have been best ever!

Hey Adam, that was a great bit of footage and definitely within range if your armed. But yes would need everything to be perfect to land one of those awesome fish. What you estimate his weight to be, he didn't look small thats for sure.
