whiting going off

been out the last few days catching whiting they are the biggest ive ever seen at the moment from leighton up to swannies out in 9 to 15 meters of water have had one that went 48 cm these are not kgs they are normal sand whiting the average was 32 cm i didnt even think they got that big heaps of fun & they taste great & when they go quiet leave your rig down there weve caught alot of gummy sharks as well on light gear they go off had to chase a couple of them

Probably have not been targeted much and might surprise some. Up here in Karratha we get some whopper sand whiting. Originally thought they where Yellowfin because of the size.

One of the best on the plate and if they got as big as other fish they would rate the best I recon.

could have been yellowfin , the 48cm , and they are very big atm heard of some to 35cm , doesnt take many that size to get a good feed, do you have any pics ?
