Big thanks to Pete for taking my mate Willie out for a fish of squid and whiting yesterday. Needless to say had a good day to be on the water. Willie had never caught a squid in the day before, so that was a real eye opener for him.
I forgot my camera, but I am sure at some stage Andy will put up a pic of his PB squid.
Oh the feed tasted real yummy too! Once again Pete, thanks for a great day.

Cheers for a good day out
Cheers for a good day out Pete!
We got onto some good squid, KG, sand whiting and everyone's fave; wrasse.
Pete and I also popped in for a dive and saw some creepy crawlies we might have to come back for come 15 Nov!

Bloody Soupster
Using us as target practice again. (hehehe)
Couple of nice KG's and a few succulent sandies too. All in all a great day on the water. Only one small pinkie in 12m of water and a lone surprise big black arse caught on sand in 30m from the V21 encountered all day. Both successfully released to grow bigger.
Shows you can still have fun during the ban if you specifically target the viable species.
The rest of the crew.
A few of the squid from the morning session.
My little pink yozuri that did the damage and was crowned lure of the day, although other colours also worked well. Especially Jamie's cammo colour that was very good at catching the squid that jumped off my lure at the boat. (hehehe).
Both Pete and my KG's fell to fresh occy on dedicated KG rigs. Sorry no KG pics in my camera.
Cheers

Lucky
Lucky I didn't know you guys were out and about. I would have sent the boarding party over to inspect your catch. No doubt I would have had to take a large portion to keep the crew fed so they could continue to keep you all safe from the bad guys.
Nice squid.....

Lucky they were only firing
Lucky they were only firing blanks anyway. The navy can't afford to pay for real ammo, once they have finished paying the navy's finest...hey Soupy.
Cheers Pete

20 Billion
Of course we can't afford real ammo; not when we have to reduce our spending by 20 Billion over the next 5 years. I'm sure I can find other areas in the budget to reduce rather than the defence forces......
