Hey mate ramp didn't get dredged there's still a good hump towards the back of the jetty's I need at least a .6 tide to get my glass 19 footer in comfortably probably about the same as when you last saw it

Just replied to your message Paul. The Shire ended up getting approvals through DBCA to carry out mechanical excavations around the boat ramp at the end of Feb. The tide window available wasn't as low as we would have liked for access with the excavator but there was a significant amount of sand removed from the southern ramp and we removed what we could from between the finger jetties on the northern ramp. There is still a bit of sand to the western end of the northern ramp but it is a lot better than it was. There were some bloody big boats around for Gamex and I didn't hear anything about any boats having any issues. 

Again, the difficulty is that we can only excavate what we can get access to with an excavator and beyond the ramps, the navigation channel becomes responsibility of DoT.... When we met with them they certainly didn't appear to be too interested in mobilzing a dredge to site and suggested they'd just look at shifting the navigation markers north of the sand bar to deeper water.... Flick us your number is a message if you want and I can get some photos tomorrow morning at a 0.9m low tide. Theres a lot of boat activity over there at the moment with the whale shark tours in full swing so the water at the ramp is typically pretty stirred up.

 I launched there the last few days and I need about .6m to be not hitting bottom and I didn't have any dramas on the morning low tides. Although the ramp is bloody chaotic with the amount of boats and whale shark tenders.
