From what i understand they are very highly regarded and rarely seen on the used market. The bloke who built them stopped building them and was employed by coraline and has built them since for nearly 10 years.
My first post on fishwrecked. Anyway I used to own a Sea Rider 5.3 as well. Great boat. I wish they were still around as wouldn't hesitate on getting another one built through them. They were a good solid boat. In terms of what of your questions they ride very well and great at rest. No problem at all fishing three big guys out of it. We used to pull pots and sometimes in big swell and not a problem. Only one negative with ours was the under floor fuel tank was a little on the small size but all depends on what you are doing. Ample enough through if you are doing a single trip out deep though.

Gidday Rich1982,
I have a larger Sea Rider and love it.
Great ride n loves a following sea. Deep chines and strakes on the hull gives it exceptional stability and tracking.
Not sure if all the same on the 5.3 model, but Steve (I think that was his name if I recall correctly) built a great boat.
I dont think you could go wrong if its in your budget.
Piccy of mine from in Browny's gallery.
I just love Exmouth: Its a quaint little drinking town with a fishing problem!
