prop removal

Found a rock on saturday night in the river and need to replace my prop.

Not to sure on how to remove any advise please?

Motor is 1998 mariner 60Hp.

Also anybody know were i can buy a new prop?

m&j engineering zeta cres occonnor can repair them, they have seperate prop bussines.

I would make sure you put one in when it is fixed this stops the nut from unscrewing.

yeh gpc .. your prop has the locking ring and not the split pin ... just pry the brass locking collar off gently first then undo the castle nut.

The locking ring comes off with the castle nut

Just bend the tabs straight and take the castle nut off the locking ring will turn with the castle nut until there is enough gap between them once you remove it you see its actualy a washer with locking tabs
