Out Today Yakkin'

Was a great day on the water, and with Matt and Shorty as company, we covered the 6.5km to the 5 Fathom with relative ease.

I soon hooked into some small Blackar$e Cod, Wrasse and some chunky Skippy round the kilo mark, but then things went a bit quiet. So we moved position onto some more ground, and caught a few more Wrasse, and a couple more Blackar$e Cod, and then the big rod went off.... This thing was going pretty hard, and i thought it was a fish for sure, but stopped short of calling it. It had soon collected my other line, and was running just under the surface at tremendous speed back and forth before the truth was revealed, it was Ray, my old buddy...

The fishing was fairly quiet, but i managed to land a nice Leatherjacket, with awesome colours, and a nice King George Whiting!! At 45cm, this one came home for dinner!

Beautiful colours on this Leatherjacket! Bit of a prickhead tho....

Another first from the Yak, a nice 45cm King George! Gonna make a ripper feed tonight, and made it all worthwhile.

The boys on the way home at the end of what can only be described as an awesome first look at an excellent spot for future trips.

But you do look like someone posing for a pic in one of those arcade photomachines. You are just not sure when the photo is going to be taken.
