Spoke to a bunch of blokes today down there they said only been about 30 fish all week come out of the channel. it's dead for last 8 days apparently.
But Margret River pebble beach about 10ks out of the town. some big fish coming off the beach. and the river leading off it.

Whiting are firing....
...on surface lures, in the estuary. Got around 25, up to 35cm, this morning. Can pretty much bank on it for the next six months. There, I've just jinxed myself!

My brother and I went down to
My brother and I went down to Dawesville Cut Sunday before last and got onto half a dozen decent KGW and some big skippy which pushed us on our 1-3kg outfits and a couple of herring to finish up the mixed back. The crowd at the jetty 30m away collectivelly caught nothing fishing with blobs the entire time..
I've been fishing the cut for years and it is a mysterious beast, you can clean up one day and go back the next with exact same conditions, tides, wind etc and not even get a bite but... there's a lot of stubborn old men that fish the cut that do the same thing at the same time everyday using the same rig they used in the 70s. While they sit there catching nothing we are furiously changing rigs and techniques until we get onto some fish.
Officially off the Pies bandwagon

I have nibbles all the time
I have nibbles all the time in the cut. Especially last weekend, caught a couple of KGW and some striped trumpeters.
this was on the port bouvard life saving club side.

You cant say theres nothing Tassy unless you try, i was there yesterday for the boat show and had a fish in the cut after that. In a 3 hour sesh i got a dozen KG's ranging from 27cm to 38cm I also got a few sand whiting and half a dozen herring. It just shows if you dont go out and give it a crack yourself, youll never find out

Had a good saturday morning
Me and my young fella had a good run the last week on the KGW in the cut just sitting about 50m in from the head.
Went out twice managed about a dozen whiting each time (only kept a few for a feed rest put back) and also on both occasions the cheeky little mongrel pulled up a flathead with one just on the 50cm mark.
Just get me back on the water
