Ningaloo Station

Just an update on Hannah and my trip to Ningaloo , in billabong very bloody sad to be heading home but thought I'd post a few pics. Did a lot of deep dropping as sharks in closer were just taking almost every good fish hooked .

anyway here's some pics of what we picked up

a 588 and the tm 260 , it was reading out  to 450 m ok at slow speeds and could just pick up bottom in 700m when we ended up out there chasing a Marlin not that you would have any chance of seeing any fish at that depth with this unit .

Love the way the fillet is being removed from the bone.  Works well for snapper too.  Good fishing and great to have a partner that enjoys the great sport.

I have a friend of mine who uses that method Eddy. Just gets the cut going and basically tears the lot off. I like doing mine with a knife as it gives more beer drinking time ;)

I have actually never seen that method before.

Surely the fillet wouldn't come off very cleanly would it ?

I am guessing that it also doesn't work on all fish.!

Some great fish and memories there mate.

How was the road? It was shocking coming out of there after new year. Didn't have any lights left on the tinny trailer until I could buy a new set at Carnarvon.

Your Heeler looks pretty calm in the boat. My Red is looking to jump overboard chasing birds at every opportunity and she's 8 yours looks a lot younger and calmer.

Cheers for sharing

down as soon as we hit the turnoff and took it easy and they had graded a fair bit on the way out so got lucky there.

we have two bluies the one with the evil eye is Skyla about 2 years old and the other is Chloe about 9 so she was up the front snoozing ! To tell you the truth I think we got lucky with that photo as if there had been any birds around she never would have sat still for it!
