Will have the bracket for a drum winch, but I can't remember the last time I used an anchor to hold bottom, always drift with a sea anchor

Nice, boat looks like it will be awesome. Declkies can pull anchors anyway, mine got sick of watching me pull the anchor few years ago so bought me a winch so he didn't feel guilty anymore !

That would be exciting, Leeman, Abrolhos, Kalbarri, Turtle Bay, Koks, Ningaloo, and a Marlin in Exmouth to ice the cake.

New boat build is a thing of dreams, unfortunately my wife wants a new house.

 Trolling motor mount, spot

Sun, 2020-12-13 07:44

Trolling motor mount, spot lock anchoring for bottom bouncing. You get more time on the lucky Spot instead of drifting the going back

and starting the drift again.

Yes mate I’m going the new DEC 200hp Yamaha (Digital Electronic Control). Apparently so smoothly to operate and easier to set trolling speeds. The GC30T (3t) trailers are mint with all the fruit including full skid drive on, boat catch, walkway, checker plate wheel arches, led lights, torsion suspension, stainless hubs, winch post steps

Switches

Sun, 2020-12-13 19:03

Make sure you check what sort of switches you are getting.

Dont install one of the cheap toggle setups. Go for some good quality ones and do it right the first time of you will have a big cutoutto fill.

Also check to make sure they are running a heavy enough cable to the dash.

Boat I boat had a rewire before the sale and i had to replace the cable run as it was tiny and no where near enough to run the electronics

Good Win with the extras...its easy at the end with the cost rising to say, nah I'll fit that later or I don't really need that yet.

Get it done now...the cost will quickly be forgotten.

Look forward to seeing the build.

Not sure if you do any leisure activity, but i take the family onto the lake for a swim and a transom door and step are essential for getting in and out.

Does sound like you have thought of everything. Well done.

Think there is some supply but only specific dealers are getting them. Mate of mine is a boat builder and had 4 mercs on order that have been dropped.

Thu, 2021-09-23 16:09

I ordered a Merc 300 V8 in May 2020 for a October Delivery... Was given the nod that there was big problems and my engine had slipped to an unknown date 2022.

After a few weeks of anger and panic, Merc Australia has come to the party and have committed to an engine for me in mid Nov 2021.

I've heard lots of horror stories regarding Yami's and boats due Nov/Dec 2021 but engines only coming Q2 2022.

I have a quote for a 6700 cuddy. Certainly a good looking quote but build time is a killer. I guess thats why the quote is perticularly good.

Looking forward to seeing how the build goes.
