new covers for a fraser 5.25

Guys , i recently bought a Fraser ( see attached ) it is a great buy, but i need to upgrade the covers as the zippers have given way and the canvas is just about shot.

I was thinking about putting front clears on it and maybe changing the profile.

Anyone have advice on replacing the canvas ect ?

thanks in advance.

Cheers

Gardie

Hi mate, I have a Fraser 525

Hi mate, I have a Fraser 525 also and if youre gonna replace it i'd definately be changing the profile of that one. I have a folding rocket laucher and then a canopy that comes straight out at just over head height to where the windscreen is, so you can stand while driving and be covered. I dont have clears though, but they would be nice cos I get pretty wet sometimes!

Mine also has the folding rocket launcher , that sits behind the bimini , not shown as i have to take it of to park in the shed ( bugger it ! )

Thanks for the advice on the canopy , it is allways good to see things through diferent eyes.

Hi Wadetolly just wondering how much you paid for your set up.

Need new clears and bomini for our boat, very similar design.

Another vote for Just Covers.

Another vote for Just Covers. Had the same thing done about 18 months ago and it makes a huge difference. Had the exact same profile you have and went for the raised bimini with clears all the way around so you can stand when driving. I tend to leave the clears off in summer and put them back on in winter. Will try find a photo for you if I can. Have a very similar hull to yours actually. Paid the same as well - about $1300 - $1400 all up but well worth it I reckon.

Ditto for Just Covers

I see you're SOR but if willing to travel north...

Try WA Boat Canopies in Wangara and Just Covers in Balcatta

Have used both in the past and happy with the end results... Only decision why at the time was due to when I could get booked in...

Pricewise....... Just Covers

Customer Service..... Both

Quality..... Both

Timing...... Just Covers for my latest (Clears). WA Boat Canopies previously (For Canopy on a previous boat). Depends on when you enquire.

Try both and make your own decision.

Not sure on cost for complete new setup but clears for a 5.3m runabout with existing bimini was $680.
