Metro fishing, Still lov'n it!
Cockburn Sound still has some good to offer with the demersal ban shutting down snapper. Working the edges of the channel produced some xl sand whiting and over the broken gound we picked up a couple of Kgs. Unlike earlier in the week we wernt able to get a feed of squid. We also rigged live baits trolled the rotto chicken run for about 20 minutes but no strikes.
Was supprised to hear the boys at blue water tackle reckon the sambos are thick on five fathom?
Also had sea rescue charge over to us asking about a boat in distress. I feel the best solution for the fella that made the dummy call would simply be to foot the fuel bill for the boats, planes, helicopters involved in the huge opperation he caused.
Anyways, with bans inplace im still loving my fishing.

Some good eating there mate
Those smaller whiting would make some fine mulloway baits as well.

land based metro kgs..
WG id say land based for metro king george would definatly be rotto. The small breakwall in thomsons bay heading towards phillip point ive had success at regularly. Some locals in safety bay get them down there off the beach casting onto the weed edges.
Anyways good luck
