Lifetime Angler 3.0
Hi guys,
Don't post on here that much but read a lot of good posts so thanks.
After owning a fish bandit before I've bought a lifetime angler 3.0 which is a big sit on top yak.
It's heavyish at 27kg but super stable at about 1m wide with a capacity of 204kg, which is the biggest I've seen. I'm a bigger guy at about 113kg and I comfortably rest on this yak and can even stand up if I want to. I didn't get another fish bandit for me (my wife got one) as I was on the heavy side for it.
Anyway for impoundments at $499 in BCF they're pretty hard to go past, rod holders are average so I'll install a set of Ram tube mounts. Eventually I'll install a sounder, no rush though. I bought a BCF "deluxe" seat and it's quite comfortable, however I need a non-slip mat under the bottom of the seat as it tends to slide.
It does catch the wind a bit, doesn't track perfectly and will never be fast, but for impoundment barra fishing it's great and I'd happily fly fish from it on the NSW high country lakes like Eucumbene, my old stomping ground for a while.
Cheers and beers, look forward to sharing my first barra picture and one day pipping Bunny with that nice 118cm fish!
Nick.

Records are meant to be
Records are meant to be broken mate. I'd love to see you get it. In fact it would be sweet if I was the at the time.
you know the Lowrance Elite 5X sounder is going for $299 at the moment which is brilliant value. I'm getting one for the wooden boat which you need to come out in October to get some reds.

Yeah that would be awesome to score some big reds mate, have to hit those rocks I have for some fingers sometime too.
I'm shit-stirring mate, will be happy with my first metery and see how I go from there. I'm going to head out Saturday night for a few hours.
