Furuno 585 to Lowrance HDS over nmea0183

Hey all
Has anyone actually seen a Furuno 585 and a Lowrance HDS10 talking to each other over nmea0183?
I have wired mine and the 585 is now receiving GPS input but it will not talk back to the HDS so the waypoint shows up on the plotter, as per the instructions here:

Has anyone got this working and can help as I tried most settings and it is doing my head in.
Cheers
Tim

I personally think ABB were
I personally think ABB were just a bit confused.
I've never heard of anyone able to send points from their furuno sounder to any other GPS.
Obviously plenty of people have any old brand of GPS sending GPS data to a sounder.

I am happy to be proven
I am happy to be proven wrong, but I think the 585 needs a TLL sentence to be able to send data to a GPS and TLL is Furuno proprietary.

TLL
Tim, Alfred is right. The GPS must be able tp recieve TLL which is Target, Latitude, Longitude. Its not just Furuno. It originally started with radars and grew from there. Just check your unit's manual and see if it takes TLL or not.
Good luck

Hope you get it sorted Tim,
Hope you get it sorted Tim, as this is one of the best features of a combo unit and one I use all the time. If you could get the separate units to do it, would be excellent, as you get the best of both worlds.

Super interested in this Tim,
Super interested in this Tim, I have yet to join my lowrance hds & furuno 585. The Lowrance has a back up tranny & I have been flicking to split screen to mark ground, the prospect of not doing this would be pure joy!!
