paint order 1 st marine

paint order 1 st marine paint, 2nd auto paint but if all else fails normal use enamel house paint. if applying by brush allow the paint to stand in a hot sun for a while or give it a bit of heat over a gass flame, not too long tho. around 25 degrees is about right. the reason for warming the paint is it will go on better and will run into the brush lines to leave a much smoother finish

International Paints are the norm

Did my own boat this season. Rolled on with a 4inch moe hair roller. Looks smooth, consistant and thick. Boat paints in fremantle (gary martin) supplied me with the paint. You can apply the top coat within 6 to 8 hours avoiding sanding the primer.

Talk to Gary though or a marine painter as im a total amateur.

Paint for your tinny

David

Have a look at International Brightside - contains teflon so it just brushes on ans finishes with no lines - bloody amazing or you can use a roller and brush out - do not USE A SPRAY GUN!

Hope this is useful
