Went to burswood this
Went to burswood this morning, lol, caught 1 bream with h0ju and just after he left, landed another... both were around 22-25cm in length... (tip to wrist on my hand is 20cm and they were a tail and a bit over my hand length) so was happy with that.
Will post photos up later...
H0ju is a bloody funny bastid, what a legend though to fish with... quite entertaining....
Hahah he was hooking up way more than me but the fish spat his hook out almost everytime, either that or he was just striking them too hard that the hook was ripping out of thier mouth....
Was good fun, have to do it again soon...
Jangles: dunno how you do it on HB's or SP's man... we used prawns, me with the jellybean and h0ju with the whole/half prawn lightly weighted...
Also, where abouts were you? We were in line with the play equipment between some trees.... maybe you were further down or something... I have to get more time to myself to check out the whole bank... was definitly worth the trip.... might have to try some gulp sandworms next time... or some gulp baby shrimp, probably work the treat....

Burswood Breaming!
Your positioning: You were inline with the play ground inbetween some trees, right?
My Positioning: If you walk from the car park near the playgrounds, go right where the helicopter pad is. That spot is a good little bank with a nice drop off which is only about a 5m cast anyway. But if you keen to land some thumpers and cover plenty of ground, I usually start from the Causeway bridge and work my way up to the Golf Course.
My reels screaming zzzzzzz.... awwww damn it, its another boat!
All the best for the future fishing trips.
Cheers.... Jangles

awwww bit of ryan
awwww bit of ryan luff.
yeah, I think ill wait till my shipment of gulp baby shrimps arrives before I try again.. till then ill stick to the prawns.... maybe the odd slider grub and whatnot... ah so the helicopter pad... i should try that....
as I said, I hadnt actually sussed the place out enough, just wanted to test the water in front of the playground... actually come to think of it, we started there with plastics... and moved further down towards the narrows (im pretty sure thats the narrows, the causeway is the freeway bridge?) just past the drain where those trees are in the water.... just in there.. next to the path, about in line with the path where 2 paths join into one to follow the water paralell. So just past the playground towards the bbq's
Theres like a submerged tree in there which was creating some cover for the suckers.. they were definitly on the bite, moreso on h0ju's lol... they prolly were on mine too but as my snapped rod incident, i was using the 10lb line with 6lb fluro leader... on my tierra which althogh light and flicky, i think wasnt as ideal as my Sun Warrior will be.
Anyway, cant wait to get another chance down there... should be fun
