Bonito Plate Ally

Hello FishWreckers ,

I'm looking for information on the Bonito plate ally boats , they were sold by Eastuary Marine in Mandurah.

If anyone has got or had one I would like to know what they ride like , are they stable at rest , are they well built etc .

Does anyone know where they were built or who made them ?.

Any info appreciated .

Happy New Year

Cheers Ray

5m plate Ali 5mm took it out today of hillaries defiantly stable at rest and I was looking at westerbergs before I got this boat and liked the bonito because of the higher sides can get a bit wet but just open the scuppers to get the water out. It slaps around a bit and with a 60hp can get to 27knts I would highly recommend the boat.

Yea allys can bounce & bob around a bit . Any idea what year your boat was built ?. How long have you had yours for .

But bought it of mates and I think I know the one you are looking at with. 70hp Yamaha is pretty much identical to mine, the hull is 1999 and I bought it of mates who have had it for 5 years

I've got a 175 Bonito.

 I've got a 175 Bonito.

Good little boat.  2002 model.  Replaced the 80HP yammie with a 115HP a couple years ago.  Beefed up the transom with some plate before the new motor went on.

The new 115 was slightly lighter than the 80/100 HP at the time.

Needed a hydrofoil to help it plane at lower speeds and some porposing.

90L fuel tank.

Squeezed 36 Knots out of it, but cruising at 25-27 is where it's at.

My only gripe is getting around the cab to access the anchor well,  bit tricky for bigger guys.

Small enough boat for solo trips.  Launch and retrieve it myself with out any probs.

I Had no canopy on it for a bit and it was easier to stand on the seats and climb straight over the dash and windscreen to access the anchor

21 foot ally Bonito

Very happy with my 2002 model 21 foot ally Bonito. Very stable at rest when fishing & diving etc even with 4 -5 large blokes on board. Regularely take it out behind Rotto etc etc. Just repowered to a 200 HP 4 stroke Honda, 41 knots wot.

I have also been looking for info on who and where they were built. Originally had Estuary Marine stickers on it but cant find much other history behind it.
