both nice boats.but weigh up pro's and con's 2 stroke vs 4 stroke feul wise .also look at towing weight .most of all how do they ride in all conditions.either way you should enjoy either
If I can gett tehm to drop the pice some, I just aslo saw a CARIBBEAN INTRUDER mind you cant find any dam information on the net on it ie reviews :( at last on the signatures there is plenty. the guy selling it says its a 6.1 but i belive they only ever made a 5.83 anyone ever used the carribian (it has a evindure motor on it :( any good? ) ? hows it stack up vs the signature ?
Hmmm, 6.1? I don't think so - spec length is 5.83m - including the signature 'manta' bow sprit.
As far as I know, there are three 'sister' boats from International Marine, the Australian company that makes the Caribbeans. These boats are the Reef Runner, the Intruder and evolving from both of those, the Adventurer - which is what I have.
The Adventurer is also specked at 5.83 overall length, with the Reef Runner at 6.3m.
I can't comment on the Haines, because I haven't owned/ridden in one. I also take it, you mean evinrude? I have a Optimax 115 on mine, so can't comment on the evinrude. Flick Andy (from Qld) on this forum a PM. He's a boat mechanic and will advise.
What size is the motor - the hull weight of an Intruder is 720 Kg. The adventurer is 740 Kg and does fine with the 115 Opti on the back - I was doing 35 knots in Albany's King George Sound yesterday (yeeeehah ). But the motor will struggle with four big people on board. But, since I usually fish 3 max, I have the advantage of great fuel economy from the 140L OB tank. Especially with fuel prices.

How does the adventurer handle ? I think its got a similar hull, this one comes with a 150 Hp Evinrude ETEC pretty beefy not sure if its 4 or 2 stroke I suspect its 4 stroke according to the web page is 200kg would just fot with trailor inot 1600kg :)
So its 5.83 including the bowsprit ? agh that would make the hull only a 5.6 or so :( mmm how would that go to the fads and back i wonder
fish hard or go home just got a new 6.4 barcrusher didnt even think about a 2banger 4bangers are the go i like the fact mech looks at every 50 or 100 hours thats just me you can only buy what you can afford and if you can afford cat these days im shore you buy fuel
ETECs are 2 stroke. Yes Sythn 5.83m, including the bow sprit.
Overall, I'm pretty pleased with the Adventurer. The deck design, with high coamings and cuddy cab fordeck makes for a pretty dry boat - except in roughish conditions and a cross breeze when lowish speed combine to blow back bow spray. But the ONLY way of assessing a boat is to take it out yourself and put it through it's pases.

I miss buying my first boat it was so simple back then, oh that looks nice I'll take it. I found a nice little Crusie Craft but we fell on a price diffrence of 2500 so we did not deal. Nicley rigged out though but the cabins a little small the miss said. SIgh... So now its back to looking and I found more Singatures that seem fine, but then I stumbled across the walkaround mustangs the cruise craaft was one of those and I must say the concet is cool I like accessing the front. But boats in WA seem overpriced in NSW the same boat will sell for 10k less then here ??? So now I have foudn a mustang mind u with a 2 stroke :( and they are asking 49 I think its not worth more then 39 if that refer the nsw price. But a two stroke :( how much would it cost to upgrade to a 4 stroke ? 15k ? Cause then I sawa newer model a 2250 I think for a whopping 65k about 10k above my max budget :( but with boat pricies dropping I could try for 55k the market seems to be dropping for boats latley I am unsure of the build date I guess 2003> what do you guys recon ? How are the mustangs any good ? is a 22.5 walkaround with a 200 Yamaha worth the $ ?
I miss buying my first boat it was easy and all I had to do was convince the missus :)
I just picked up a Haines hunter challenger 6.35, $45,000 i was looking at spending $70,000 but didn't know what I wanted ali or glass, two stroke or four, then I seen this boat on the web and now its mine .I traded a Caribbean concord 17'11,nice little boat went through the water great, have not yet had a good run in the Haines only a couple of short trips ,they are a fantastic ocean boat ,hold the water really well the review’s rave about them, it has a two stroke 175hp Fitch Even rude can't comment on economy ,as haven't been for a long trip . The Caribbean is a good boat, it just depends on your personal choice, if it feels right I usually is , there's picks of mine on the site under the new rig. Good luck
As to the Mustang with a 2 banger, depends on the age of the 2 banger. There is a HUGE difference between current technology 2 strokes (Evinrude-ETEC) (Mercury-Optimax) and the old technology ones.

G'day Synthos just thought I'd weigh in with a little of my own experience with the Etec motors. I've my little one (50hp) for about 2 years and have put around 350 hrs on it and have had a bit to do with a mates 225hp on his Haines Patriot 6.4. The only trouble I had with mine was the plugs playing up at 250hrs, apparently had some thing to do with an extensive amount trolling (which for barra is done at dead idle which on the EMM printout came in at 86 hrs). Mate has had no worries with his for 2 and half years. I have heard of a few probs such as an injector getting stuck open and a couple of programming glitches. I am not a 4st basher and simply chose the Etec cos of the money factor in it's original price and servicing. Imust say I'm very happy with it's performance getting my 469 nomad out of the hole easily, economy is good and the oil, tho very expensive, is used very miserly, I've only gone through about 10 liters.
As far as choosing between 4 and 2 st I suppose it all depends on money, whether (as Kaneo pointed out) your crossing bars and other hairy spots what sort of weight you wish to carry (camping gear). I take mine in for an EMM diagnostic checkup and the quick once over every hundred hours for peace of mind, so far (touchwood) so good.
Cheers Daisy :-)

Thanks Paul I saw that hains said hey looks intresting except teh 2 stroker then I got told by rod some bugger beat me too it, its an intresting rig with the foldout seats and all :)
So now I seem to have shortlisted three boats
cruisecraft outsider 575
hains signature 600f
Hains Hunter 580 brezze (2 stroke only) so not that high on the list
both have about the same price and decent 4 stoke engines the cruse craft has a few more features, now I want to hit the fads and direction bank and feel safe circle rotto aswell the cabins in the 575 & 580 a little small but how often will we really sleep overnight ? Whats do you guys recon ? I am leaning towards the crusiecraft...
