I took off the engine cover

Mon, 2012-03-05 15:56

I took off the engine cover ( much to my embarrassment ) and removed the hose from the cyl head and started it up still no water got it home with the hose and a slight trickle of water. Told the clown from the boat dealer I wanted the water pump impeller replaced but as per usual the clown is always right and talked me out of it. The engine is 2006 I ahold him I would pay for it but no he is always right. My fault should know better. If any one knows of a tech that will come out and replace it for me would be grate as I have plans for next week. Cheers for the advice have checked all of the above

Blocked Telltail

Get hold of any type of hand pump Eg for pumping up footy /soccer ball I.attach soccer ball neddle valve on pump. 2. Start motor with water  running.3. place neddle valve up the telltail and pump HARD. This will push any sand/ silt/ encrused salt backwards, remove neddle valve and wallar! have had many boaties on their way in no time.I carry one as standard Kit! Works (9 out of 10)
