Boat steering
Submitted by Simo_ on Wed, 2011-02-23 06:57
I had the steering cable on my boat replaced on my boat a few weeks ago after it snapped. Since then the steering pulls hard right if I let go of wheel.
Any ideas why. Did they put it on wrong or what?

Trim tab
I think that was about the adjustment of the trim tab on the leg of the outboard.
When fitting your steering they shouldn't have needed to alter it.
I'd be taking it back and getting them to fix it because something isn't right.

maybe it always pulled to
maybe it always pulled to the right but the stiffness of the old cable resisted it so you didn't notice.
Like the others said, try making a small adjustment of the anode to port.
