Fuel line
Could be a number of causes, most common is probably an air leak in your fuel line/system even the clip that goes onto the motor. Check it all out only needs to be a very small hole

Had the same problem a few
Had the same problem a few years back with a 70hp 2stroke, ran fine at speed but couldn't hold idle and would stall. dont know much about carby's but it had a very small salt crystal sitting on the pin??? (maybe) that was slowing the fuel flow at idle. took it into the shop as motor was due for a service anyway didn't cost much extra only about and extra hour or so of labour. could be a bit of dirt or something in the carb.

try looking for the idle
try looking for the idle control screw (usually has a spring on it), adjusting this screw might fix the problem

best not do that till you
best not do that till you work out if its something wrong. otherwise you'll just be chasing ya tail.
first thing id be looking at is plugs. pull them and check colour, should be a tan colour
Give a man a mask, and he'll show you his true face...
The older you get the more you realize that no one has a f++king clue what they're doing.
Everyone's just winging it.
