Belvedere 550 widebody mackerel series.

Hi all, long time since i posted. Looking fir a littlw help re boat id and review.

Just looking at a boat thats called a "Belvedere 550 Widebody Mackerel series.

Anyone heard of them? Cant seem to find anything on Google.

Saw something that said coraline were using the name belvedere boat builders at one stage?? Any connection??

Would love some history and review of this boat if anyone knows them?

Good looking plate ally but only has a 4 stroke yammy 100hp on the back.

Seems like it might be a tad under? Quite a large boat for its size if that makes any sense.

Cheers!!

Sorry to just see this thread

Sorry to just see this thread now. I have a mackeral series belvedere 550 widebody, and I love it. Super stable, and just a heap of deck space (I don't like wasting deck space with a cuddy cab).

I have a 130 hp ETEC on the back of mine, and that's probably a little overpowered to be honest. I wouldn't want to go less than 90 hp, but I reckon 100 hp should be fine. I think dry weight is about 690kg, they're suprisingly light. If you want to know any other specifics, photos, etc... give me a call on 0439951286, I'm happy to help out.

 Cheers man.

Yeah went and had a look at it. Seems like a good shape and as you say stacks of room.

Wooda snapped it up a few yrs ago but my tastes are changing obviously.

Didnt get the loin tingles when you find "the one" if you know what i mean.

Anyway thanks for the info.

Much appreciated.

I'll keep looking for my soulmate

 They were built by Mizzen

They were built by Mizzen marine.

They used to make commecial boats from what I can remember dad saying. They built his for him years ago, which he traded to Millard Marine. After which they chased them up to start making the Belvedere range.

Now no longer making them from what I know. Was a great boat. Was used for years out of Point Samson until we moved south and went to a bigger boat.

Everyone that I know that has had one or has one is pleased with them. Looked for a 6m one myself when I was looking for a boat.
