Annual Boat Servicing
Submitted by Robert N on Sat, 2007-08-18 14:09
Looking for someone to do the annual service on a Yamaha 115 4 stroke. Currently been getting my Boat Serviced with a well known Boating Sales and Servicing outlet. ( not sure on the protocol with regard to naming them ) Purchased boat from new and felt that it makes sense to have them do the service on it. But after numerous problems occurring after each service have decided it is time for a change. Was hoping somebody could make a recommendation.
Cheers

I've!
I've used Marlins Service Centre before in Freo for my last Yamaha i owned, very reliable and professional.
Many more out there and often the smaller guys are the way to go IMO, more personal and for me no hassles!

Thanks
Thanks Ryan and Paul.
I'll give both places a call and check them out.
To be honest they can't be any worse than the guys down Mandurah way that have been doing the servicing in the past. I'm guessing but I think they have a trainees doing the job rather than the Qualified guys. I hope I have more luck second time around.
Thanks again

The list is long, but the
The list is long, but the most disturbing would be not tighting up the bolts after refiling the hydrolic fluid for the steering. Not alot of fun trying to steer after fluid leaked out. They also managed to put the wrong wheel bearings on one wheel, not once but twice. Tyre on this wheel totally stuffed now. Small things but basic and also requiring a return trip to their yard. I've got better things to do on my day off like going fishing. You can be guarateed that the day I book it in the weather will be perfect. Maggott, I didn't name the Boat Yard but you seem pretty sure you know the place I'm talking about...

Robert if you are looking
Robert if you are looking for someone honist and reliable north of the river give Graham at Central Marine in Osborne park a call. Me and my brother have been taking our boats there for the past 6 / 7 years always happy with the outcomes Grahams always done the right thing by the both of us. Worth a call.

mmm loads around
I just had my Yamaha 60hp do its first service, I liked the guy but FFS he charged me freight for ordering a part he did not have add $15 to my bill. I thought that was a little tight overall my 100hour service costs me $454 what do you find the costs on average are?
