Ok guys and gals , im doing a complete refit on my centre console at the moment and just wondering if anyone had any ideas on what paint material i could use to save the hull under the floor from electolysis and the stray fish hooks that find their way through the sides into the hull . Was thinking about an anti foul or a rubberised paint or would this hold any moisture against the hull or not worry about it , any ideas would be great as im not really clued up on this , cheers feral

your best bet would be to use the phone, ring the alli builders .they will all have their own ideas but you will find out the best way imo

You need to use a etching primer first
Give it a acid wash before the etching primer to stop any further corrosion, then paint it
Dont know the name of the acid wash most paint shops will steer you in the right direction

Just having a bit of a refit
Electronic wise im adding a 585 and ikw tranny , fitting a jrc 100 radar for night fishing not pinging , bigger bow rails , electric anchor and a custom s's half t top for the radar dome and outrigger bases , sourced an infloor 100 litre tank and cutting out the bench flotation seats and adding in floor flotation raising the foredeck to cover the fuel tank and also gaining a casting platform , transferrring the gel batteries towards the front of the console out of the way and then running clears alon the front rails to stop any spray ill post some progress pics up as the week goes ahead
