406 Epirb

Just wondering of persons are aware of the 406 Distress Beacon Register and MMSI database.
Once registered, you can alter your personal information, transfer your Epirb from boat to boat or to a off road vehicle, and even post general details about your intended trip.
This also ties in with DSC messaging on VHF radios.

You MUST register the
You MUST register the Epribs, it's a legal requirement and Fisheries can ping you if you don't have the rego sticker on it.

my understanding on these
my understanding on these things you can transfer brom boat to boat but it has to be done on line, not too sure about land based stuff in a 4x4. best off checking the site out
