15' Baron rebuild thread

This is the boat pre surgery;

A view of the transom;

Top removed, bulkheads, pockets and bench seat out;

The floor partially removed, the sides partially sanded;

There were water in some of the pockets when I opened it up and the floor was pretty rotten, the boat apparently hadn't been in the water for 9months before purchase. I think Baron used packing crates for their floors, fibreglass sure hides a lot of sins. I'll try and keep the thread updated as work progresses.

It looks like a really interesting project. I am sure you will learn a lot and you will get great enjoyment out of the finished product.

Goodluck with the rebuild, Built a Baron almost from the ground up, can get very itchy when rolling in glass use QV lotion will reduce the itch. Sounds stupid but it works.
